Balancing Acts

Christmas is a balancing act… not too much turkey or not enough room for pie; pack in as much time with family while not missing so much sleep that you can’t function; playing in the snow while trying trying not to not to get frost bite; buying as many gifts for everyone as possible without going bankrupt; taking tons of photo’s but not so many that you can’t afford to develop them…

Yes, Christmas is a balance. For Araella, balance is something she knows nothing about. It’s go go go till she drops; soaking up 100% of all attention; every present was her domain and she aided all in the unwrapping process; snow was an experience to be soaked up till frostbite would have claimed all appendages except for parental intervention; and trust is unerring, even at 4 vertical feet off the ground floating on one flexing bicept. Oh that we might enjoy such lack of balance.
