Alive on the Other Side

Well, many of you are perhaps wondering we made it to Cambodia or not. I am currently writing you from my office desk, located in the middle of the capital, Phnom Penh. A 14 hour flight followed by 3 hour flight brought us here and we’ve spent the last week and a half awash in a torrent of language studies, apartment hunting, a long night retching in the toilet, lots of new foods (contributing to long nights retching in the toilet), and many many wonderful people. I’m sure you are all enjoying Christmas. For us it’s difficult to even remember that tomorrow is the 25th. But there are a few lights and trees in missionary homes, and we’ve been invited to several dinners and parties. We’ll be spending the next week on a short vacation on the coast enjoying the beaches, cheap hotels, and trying not to get too burned. I’ll be posting a much longer newsletter with photo’s in a week or so, so stay tuned for that.
