Pre 2004

1995 – Moved to the States from Papua New Guinea for college at Taylor University to get a degree in Environmental Biology

1997 – Spent the summer in Papua New Guinea with my brother and Tara doing children’s Bible camps in the village

1998 – Six month exchange program at Daystar university in Kenya. Met Matt Ford, Marcia Byler-became-Ford, and Eric Bitner along with 14 other amazing consortiums

1998 – Married Tara two days after Christmas

1999 – Graduated from Taylor with my ENB degree

1999 – Fall at the HEART Institute in Florida studying third world development.

2000 – Spring in Toronto at a School of Ministry similar to the YWAM DTS. Started my Master’s degree in Water Resources in the fall at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. Tara started work as a site director for a before and after school program.

2001 – Spent two weeks in Honduras for a masters class.

2002 – Tara spent the summer with her family and I spent the summer PNG doing my Master’s Project designing a gravity flow water supply system for a village in the Eastern Highlands. Spent the rest of the year writing the paper and looking for a job in my field.

2003 – Spent the first part of the year job hunting and preparing for a position in Sudan with Samaritan’s Purse. The war with Iraq began and the position fell through. We spent the remainder of the year in Pennsylvania with Tara’s family, job hunting and helping out at their house.

2004 – Got a job with Home Depot, and the rest is blogged above.
